Super League Tournament with Boparan Charitable Trust
This May, SF took on another 13 football teams from the food and food machinery industry in what was Boparan Charitable Trusts first Super League Tournament.
The event, held at The Hawthorns, home to West Bromwich Albion, was a huge success, raising a total of £18,800 for The Boparan Charitable Trust who help change the lives of children across the UK with disabilities, life-limiting conditions or living in extreme poverty. Hosting the event was TV’s sport presenter, Manish Bhasin alongside ex Villa & England player Tony Daley who was running the touchline.
Making up the team from SF we had, Richard, Leon, Jason, Tom, Jonathan, Jose, Ryan with sideline support from Mark & Alun. The lads played well, but alas, having made it in to the knockout stages (just), SF were soon enjoying the rest of the day, chearing on other teams from the terraces.
