Corporate Social Responsibility

In May 2018, SF took on another 13 football teams from the food and food machinery industry in what was Boparan Charitable Trusts first Super League Tournament.

The event, held at The Hawthorns, home to West Bromwich Albion, was a huge success, raising a total of £18,800 for The Boparan Charitable Trust who help change the lives of children across the UK with disabilities, life-limiting conditions or living in extreme poverty. Hosting the event was TV’s sport presenter,  Manish Bhasin alongside ex Villa & England player Tony Daley who was running the touchline.

Making up the team from SF we had, Richard, Leon, Jason, Tom, Jonathan, Jose, Ryan with sideline support from Mark & Alun. The lads played well, but alas, having made it in to the knockout stages (just), SF were soon enjoying the rest of the day, chearing on other teams from the terraces.

We are delighted to announce that in 2014, SF Engineering have nominated Irish Autism Action and The National Autistic Society as our charities of choice. Over the next 12 months we will be running a varied calendar of organised sponsored events where our staff can benefit from making a difference to their community.

It is a great honour to be able to pledge our support to these organisations, their valuable work within the community and in educational settings across Ireland and the UK bring positive changes to families and young people living with Autism.

We are committed to delivering results to our customers on a day to day basis and these efforts are also mirrored by our staff in their fund raising triumphs. The coming 12 months will see the staff at SF Engineering tested to their endurance limits. The year kicks off with the 32 County Charity Clay Pigeon Shoot, an amazing feat through 32 Counties in 4 Days, shooting 3,200 Clays.

Not only is our very own Kieran Finn taking part in this challenge but SF are also proud sponsers of this event. Kieran is pictured here with the patron of Irish Autism Action, Keith Duffy and SF’s Margaret McCallig and Paul Munroe. To find out more about this event visit www.32cccs.com.

In September a team from the UK will participate in the Rock Solid Race at Silverstone and October will see a team from Ireland competing in the Tough Mudder Challenge in Dublin. Both these events are guaranteed to be a muddy mix of mayhem, sweat, pain and hopefully lots of fun!

We wish all the staff the best of luck in their chosen events and we hope to make a difference as proud supporters of Irish Autism Action and The National Autistic Society.
