With a background in Engineering, Seamus Farrell founded SF Engineering in 1983. Seamus has overseen the growth of the company to a multi-million business with operations in Ireland, the UK and Czech Republic and with some of the world’s leading food brands as customers.
He is a keen yachtsman and amateur mountaineer.
Brian Farrell joined SF in 2015 as Service & Spare Parts Manager. During his first year, Brian successfully developed stability and growth within the department by introducing new proceedures and training staff. In Brian’s new role as SF’s General Manager, his ambitions are to build on the success of the last 35 years and to continue the ethos that SF is a Great Place to Work.
Brian brings great attributes to the SF Management Team, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, a strong technical knowledge and great project & people management skills. These qualities were honed during a 7 year service at Kenmare Resources, the Irish Mining Company with operations in Mozambique.
During Brian’s spare time he has a keen interest in sailing and motorsports.
Head of Finance & Administration
Aisling joined SF Engineering in 2010 primarily within the Finance and HR functions. Since early 2012 Aisling has also taken on responsibility for Strategic Planning and Business Process Improvements. Previous to joining SF Engineering, Aisling worked with KPMG Dublin for a period of 9 years, her last role being an Associate Director. Aisling has a keen interest in interior design and her home was featured in the Christmas edition of the UK Ideal Homes magazine.
Marketing and Partner Manager
Patricia is responsible for the strategic positioning and promotion of SF Engineering in our core target markets. She is also responsible for management of partner relationships with SF Engineering’s key third party equipment suppliers including Ishida, Ceia and Unikon.
Patricia originally joined SF Engineering in 2002. She previously worked with Aer Lingus for 13 years where she developed a keen awareness of the importance of a strong brand and maintaining a constant focus on customer service. Outside of her professional role, Patricia has a keen interest in middle and long-distance running.
Padraig has 20 years’ experience in SF & a further 5 years engineering experience prior to joining SF. Experienced in all aspects of SF from design, production, sales & project management as well as vast experience in food processing across all food market sectors globally. Mech Eng Degree and MBA.
Sales and Projects Manager UK
Richard joined SF Engineering in 2008 and while initially based in Ireland he is now based at our UK office since 2009 as Sales and Projects Manager for the UK. He is responsible for sales in the UK and the delivery of client projects which meet customer expectations. Prior to joining SF Engineering, Richard worked for Weber Labelling & Coding as their Sales Manager for Ireland. Richard’s interests are various sports.
Paul Cassidy Joined SF in 2010 and soon became Procurement and Logistics Manager. In this role Paul set about transforming the Purchasing, Logistics and Spare Parts Departments providing support, procurement expertise and best practice for the utilization of strategic sourcing and purchasing of materials and services along with ensuring delivery of finished product both domestically and globally . In Paul’s new role as Operations manager, he takes direct responsibility for Irish Production, Projects and Design as well as Irish and UK Purchasing. Outside of work Paul’s interests include Formula 1 racing, Gaelic football, soccer, fishing and hill walking.
New Product Development
John Wealsby is SF Engineering’s New Product Development and Systems Manager and he has over 21 years experience in industrial weighing application and development systems. John’s core responsibility is overseeing the development of new products but also driving Research and Development in new and emerging technologies. John coordinates the incorporation of new products into the SF Engineering portfolio by working closely with the sales and engineering team.
John takes an interest in all forms of new technology, and he is also a keen amateur astronomist with an interest in astrophysics and photography.
